Festival of Power 2016

Santa Pod Raceway, 25th-27th March 2016

Chris Reed

With only two qualifying runs on the Friday, Bois ended up with a respectable 6th place qualifying time of 7.70@188mph. With no racing for bikes on the Saturday due to high winds it was straight into Eliminations early on Sunday morning. Drawn against the legend that is Graham Balchin, Bois won the round with a 7.87 against Graham's 8.80. Grahams bike bogged at the launch.

Rain stopped play before the second round of Eliminations.

Stacey Reed

Stacey's first qualifier in her first competiton in 9.50 bike was disappointing as she had a mechanical failure due to a shifting malfunction, she ran the quarter in a little over 15 seconds. Her second qualifier was somewhat better, running a 9.86@140mph in the dark placing her in 6th position at the end of the qualifying sessions in a very experienced field of opposition. Well done Stacey on the new Personal Best.

After patiently waiting all day for a chance to race in her first 9.50 Eliminations, the weather took a turn for the worse and rain denied her the chance.

Martin Walker

Competing for the first time in Comp Bike, Martin had two qualifying runs. Mechanical issues prevented Martin from acheiving the times that he had hoped and the best qualifying run of 8.52@138mph would have been better suited to his previous 8.50 class.

No racing on Saturday and rain stopped play on Sunday prior to his first Elimination run in the new class.

Brain Pateman and Sam Sykes were not entered into this event.
